We mourn the passing of EW Niegeloh

It is with great sadness that we received the news of the death of our partner and managing director of many years, Ernst Wilhelm Niegeloh, in Solingen on June 18, 2024 at the age of 86. Even after his retirement - he handed over the management of the company in 2009 - he was still there for the company with heart and soul and was regularly on site to maintain contact and cooperation.

With EW, as he was affectionately called within the company, we have lost a strong entrepreneurial personality and a valuable human being. He managed the company's fortunes for decades and led Niegeloh to the greatness for which it is known worldwide today. For the employees, he was not only the Boss. He was also a trusted friend and a good listener.

The news has come as an unexpected shock to the staff and for many the pain of this loss is profound. EW leaves a huge void in the hearts of those he loved, knew and worked with. Everyone will miss his humour, his stories, and his love for scissors.

We wish his wife, daughter and the whole family the strength to cope with this difficult and sad time and extend our heartfelt condolences to the family.
